The feature of sliding the screen down to turn off the computer is nothing new, but it only supports laptops. You just need to press and hold the power button to see a screen with the words Slide to shut down your PC and then slide the down arrow button to turn off the computer.

Using Run:
This way, you only need to remember the execution command to be able to do it.
– You press the keyboard shortcut Win + CHEAP to open the Run box.
– You enter the command Slidetoshutdown > press Enter.
– The screen goes dark and the words appear Slide to shut down your PC on the lock screen wallpaper, you drag down to turn off the device.
Use the shortcut:
This way helps you to shorten the operation later and do not need to remember the command.
– You right-click on the desktop> select New > Shortcuts.
– You paste %windir%System32SlideToShutDown.exe > press next.
– Do you give the shortcut a name or keep the default name > press finish.
Then just double-click the SlideToShutDown shortcut to shut down your computer.
Because the shortcut icon is quite rough, you can change it to a more visible icon by right-clicking > select Properties. In the window that opens, you press Change Icon > OK and select the available icon or press Browse to select your icon. Finally, you press OK to save changes.
