Currently, Facebook has updated the option to keep the quality of uploaded photos no longer. Therefore, it will be more difficult for you to want to share your new, high-definition images with friends.
However, we still have quite a few ways to post photos to Facebook without loss of quality.
Table of Contents
Share URL, photo album:
This is the simplest and most convenient way when you want to share images on Facebook while keeping the quality. You should choose a photo storage service that does not lose quality, specifically the writer chooses Google Photos.
Step 1: You open Google Photos and sign in.
Step 2: Before uploading, you need to set the upload quality by clicking the . icon Setting Gear shape in the upper right corner.
Section Upload size of photos and videosyou choose Original quality. If already selected, skip this step.
Step 3: You select and open an existing photo album or press the . button Upload to make uploads of new videos and photos.
Step 4: In the album, you click the share icon > press Create a link.
You will get the sharing link of the album and press Copy to get the link.
Step 5: Finally, you open Facebook and paste the sharing link of the photo album to post.
If it’s a single image, you can do the same, open the image > click the share icon and create a link and then copy the link again. In addition, if it is someone else’s picture, on a certain website, you just need to copy the URL and post it.
Tweak the image size:
If you don’t know, Facebook has a size standard for images uploaded to Facebook. Specifically:
- Maximum image size: 2048 x 2048 pixels
- Minimum image size: 168 x 168 pixels
- Standard size: 761 x 761 pixels.
If the image size is too large, Facebook will crop it, and if it is too small, the image will be blurred. Instead of letting Facebook crop it to your liking, you should make tweaks before you post.
Step 1: We will use photo editing service Pixlr E quite famous, it supports saving edited photos while keeping the same quality.
Step 2: You press Open image to select images to upload to the service.
Step 3: Now, you can crop the image in one of two ways.
– You click the icon Crop in the left tool row > select Size and enter the standard size.
– Or you press File > Save > Image and choose the output format, you should choose JPG or WebP for more quality control options.
Here, I choose JPG and you choose the quality as High and Quality is 100%, and below enter the image width and height. Finally, press Save as > name it and choose where to save it > press Save.
(In addition to Pixlr E, you can do the same with another service, which is Pixlr Xthis is even easier because it supports Vietnamese).
Then you can upload it to Facebook to share with your friends.
