iPhone users have taken to Twitter and Reddit to express their displeasure over the impact of the new iOS 15.4 update on the battery life of their devices.
After releasing iOS 15.4 to the public last week, Apple has also released iPad OS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, and macOS Monterey 12.3. This version has many new features including using Face ID with a mask, improved ProMotion compatibility, new emojis and new Siri voice, among others. However, it is possible that the update has raised concerns about battery drain, as more and more individuals are reporting battery life issues on their devices.
Thanks for reaching out! We’ll be happy to help. It’s normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after an update.
Let’s have you reach out to us in a DM if this is still an issue after that time so we can help you look into this further.

On Reddit and Twitter, many people complained about battery drain concerns with their iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max devices in a Reddit thread, which was later deleted. Another post received mixed responses, with some users reporting reduced battery life and others claiming that iOS 15.4 has actually improved battery performance. Several unhappy customers took to Twitter to express their problems.
According to reports, there seems to be no “consensus” on the impact of iOS 15.4 on battery performance. It’s currently recommended that users wait up to two days after installing an update, with Apple stating that “it’s common for your apps and functions to require tweaking”.
